Happy Deepa-Raya everyone!
I'm back from my Dancesport competition in Johore and I'm back in school. :) The competition was an amazing experience. Participating in it was really fun and I definitely brought back some fond memories. The evening Grade A Standard and Latin American Ballroom Dancing competiton was a sight to behold. The competitors were beautifully dolled and up and danced impeccably. Melvin and Sharon, our instructors came in first for the Latin section, meaning that they're ranked first, again! Woo hoo! Another win for Singapore! :) Watching the Italian couple dance was breathtaking. They glided across the floor with so much ease and told a wonderful story with their bodies. It was as though time stood still when they danced. Another couple that impressed me greatly was the teenage couple from Thailand, couple 121. They didn't have many supporters but I was quick to cheer my lungs out for them. They were incredible. A couple of powerhouses, they were. :)
Here's a picture of Team Singapore. :)
On Hari Raya, I went over to Marium's place together with the rest of the Veggie Patch. It was just like old times. The food was sumptious, and we went nuts in Mar's room. Everyone except Vic and I had to leave early, so we stayed back and had a heart to heart talk with Mar. I know I'm not speaking just for myself when I say that we really miss the old times, when everyone knew what was going on with everyone, when we saw each other practically every day, and when we sat next to each other and laughed till we cried. Things are so different now. We've all grown up, changed and blossomed, if I may say, but we still hold the Veggie Gang close to our hearts. I know that even when we all start pursuing our dreams and heading in different directions, things will change, but no matter what, we'll still be at each other's with chocolated, tissues and a shoulder to cry on when the other needs us and we'll be noisiest ones at each other's weddings. Yes, I know this entry suddenly took a different turn, and I apologize. But, I just needed to get that off my chest. Veggies, I love you all. Take care, peace, and love.
To those of you who celebrate Deepavali and Hari Raya,
