Thursday, December 29, 2005I'm sixteen! I am so happy! I am no longer underaged. Hehehe.
The highlights of my day were meeting up with friends and Ms Ae Ree's BBQ. It was fun. Rebekah's back, so we heard quite a few funny stories about her school life in Manchester... :) Oh, the wine and the beer was good too.. What's a good BBQ without some alcohol eh? Haha!
Before I rattle on further, let me just say thank you to Mark, Raj, Nat, Joan, Miriam, Diana, Vic, Natra and Miin... Oh and thanks to everyone at the BBQ for publicly embarrassing me, in other words, singing me a birthday song. I appreciate it. Love you all! Muakz! :)
I have finally finished handing out all my Christmas presents today. :D People, I hope you like them. This year, I put a lot of thought into what I got you all.
Right, so back to the BBQ. It was really enjoyable. The food was great and so was the catching up. :) I had fun with my other two ladies... Haha... And I finally managed to cream David. Hehehe. My apologies dear. I'm trying to be sincere about it. Haha...
Ms Ae Ree gave me some good advice today. However, I am not going to repeat it here. So if you want to know, ask me and I shall tell you. Ladies, this is for you. Gentleman, you don't need it. ;)
Oh, speaking of Ms Ae Ree, that woman is amazing. She can take one look at you and tell straight away if something is wrong. Even my mother can't do that with me. Last Wednesday, Ms Ae Ree took one look at me and kept pressing me to find out what was wrong. I kept denying it but she saw right through me. Apparently my face was very "hard." Haha... Honestly, this woman. She is dramatism personified. I love her to death. :)
Right, I think I better end this entry now. And in case you're wondering, no, I'm not drunk, I just think this entry is little too long. ;) Okay, guten Nacht!

Wednesday, December 28, 2005I am feeling super high right now.
Ms Ae Ree has been aching to do something to my hair, so, as a birthday present, she took me to her hair stylist to get my hair done. It is gorgeous! Well, I love it anyway. The fringe is straightened but it looks natural and my hair is layered. My curls have actually got definition now that it is layered. Ms Ae Ree is the bomb! :D
Afterwards, I went to Samuel and Kevin to buy stuff for tomorrow. I love my jeans! They make me look booch, but I don't care. I love them! Haha... I can't wait for tomorrow! And I finally finished wrapping presents! Yay! Okay, gotta go now. See you all soon!
Muakz!
One more glorious day!

Tuesday, December 27, 2005The reason I haven't blogged in ages is because I had been staying at my cousin's house for the past few days. Nothing much had happened. Well, nothing that was interesting anyway. I had a grand total of two highlights in the past week.
1. My culinary skills impressed a lot of people. (My turkey dishes were a hit. Haha!)
2. I went to watch "The Chronicles of Narnia" today.
Narnia was okay. I thought the lion was really sexy. Don't ask. :)
I can't wait for Thursday. I've already got my day planned out.
10a.m. : Meet Mark at my place.
10.45a.m.-12.45p.m. : Have coffee with Mark and (maybe)Rajesh.
12.45p.m.-2p.m. : Meet Nat for lunch and try that weird raw Cod sperm dish she dared me to try.
2p.m.-2.45.p.m. : Meet Juit Lian.
2.45p.m.-4.45p.m. : Hang out with the Veggie Patch.
After that I'm headed to Ms Ae Ree's for her BBQ.
Two more days! I cant wait!

Tuesday, December 20, 2005As the tittle suggests, I had a filming session again today and I cried during the interview. Well, it was more like a couple of tears. Don't even bother asking why. I feel like a sap for doing it but the reason I cried was because of the love I have for this very special person. I hope they don't put that bit in my program next year. I told the producer not to. I hope she listened to me.
After the filming I went to school to do work. The book is due tomorrow and I have to be in school by eight. I won't get much sleep, but who cares? The book is going to be great.

Sunday, December 18, 2005Michael Buble - Moondance Well, it's a marvelous night for a moondance With the stars up above in your eyes A fantabulous night to make romance Beneath the cover of october skies And all the leaves on the trees are falling To the sound of the breezes that blow And I'm trying to please to the calling Of your heart-strings that play soft and low And all the night's magic seems to whisper and hush And all the soft moonlight seems to shine in your blush
Chorus: Can I just have one more moondance with you, my love Can I just make some more romance with you, my love Well, I wanna make love to you tonight I can't wait till the morning has come And I know that the time is just right And straight into my arms you will run And when you come my heart will be waiting To make sure that you're never alone There and then all my dreams will come true, dear There and then I will make you my own Any time I touch you, you just tremble inside And I know how much you want me that you can't hide
Chorus
Well, I wanna make love to you tonight I can't wait till the morning has come And I know that the time is just right And straight into my arms you will run And when you come my heart will be waiting To make sure that you're never alone There and then all my dreams will come true, dear There and then I will make you my own Any time I touch you, you just tremble inside And I know how much you want me that you can't hide
Chorus (x2)
My love, my love I just want one more moondance with you Yes I do I am so hooked on this song. Oh, I was watching "Shall We Dance?" with Mel around one this morning. And we had a grand total of two hours of sleep today. Haha. The only two things I liked about the movie was J Lo's outfits and the dance scenes with her in them. She's a great dancer. Speaking of which, what happened to the people of this era? It seems like hardly anyone knows how to Ballroom Dance. I mean, at least knowing how to dance the basic Waltz would be good enough but not many people know how to. Hmm. Club dancing is fun and all but how about the Classics? Dance lessons anyone?

I honestly feel blessed. I mean, not everybody has what I have yet sometimes I feel empty or I'm not very happy with things. Next time I seem a little "depressed," kick me.
I'm so thankful that I have an amazing relationship with God. Whenever I need guidance, he's always there. I'm blessed with wonderful teachers who are always there for me, friends who love me very much and whom I love dearly too, and supportive parents, whom though I hate to admit it, I couldn't do without. Can one ever truly feel satisfied? I think so. I'm feeling it right now.

Saturday, December 17, 2005The last few days were pretty eventful. Mel's party was great. The Flying Dutchman, otherwise known as Uncle Mark to me, Mel and Frez, kept us very entertained. He was telling Chloe, Lee, Frez, Mel and I stories about his "crazy" family. He was hilarious! Uncle Mark and Mel's dad, Uncle Sarosh, couldn't start the fire for the BBQ so when my dad came they started bowing to him saying, "The Fire Starter is here! He will save us!" Haha! So anyway, eventually they got the fire going and we managed to get some food... We, the "young ones," swam for a bit before eating and playing "Truth or Dare." How typical right? But you know, it was different this time. We learned quite a bit about each other and what our views were on current events and the problems and issues facing teens nowadays. I will not bore you with details but I must say, it was definitely an interesting night.
Yesterday I went for a band concert put up by Temasekians. My cousin asked me to go and I must admit that I was pretty impressed. The bands were good. After the show Hao Jie, Haydn, my cousin, Kiren and I went for supper at the Bedok food court. It was so funny because the people who were eating there kept flashing us strange looks as we were too overdressed to be eating in a hawker centre... Haha...
Today I went out with Brendan and Aqeel. As usual, there was never a dull moment. Sigh. They are a fun bunch. I can't wait for tomorrow! I'll be singing "Laudate Dominum" by Mozart again! I haven't seen Ms Ae Ree in a week. I miss her. I can't wait to see her tomorrow. Mel and I will be going to watch the Christmas Musical put up by the Barker Road Methodist Church. Then she'll be sleeping over at my place! Yay! :) Brendan is playing the part of an angel in the musical. God Bless for it Bren, I can't wait to watch it. :)
Take care my dears, I'll blog soon.

Wednesday, December 14, 2005Yesterday I went to my mum's friend's house... Her kids begged me to stay and I didn't have the heart to say "no". So, me, being me, agreed to sleep over. Apparently kids hadn't already watched Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire so I offered to take them... Even their older brother hadn't watched it so I suggested that we go to the 9.30p.mp. show. We got there and I was back in heaven. Rupert Grint and Tom Felton are the bomb! Cute and talented. The guy who played Cedric Diggory reminded me of Prince William. Hmm. Haha... The movie is brilliant. It was a little rushed but overall I thought it was a really good film. Plus it was funny. :)
I'm hooked on the songs "Last Christmas" and "Silent Night" by our local acappella group, Vocaluptuos. They are really good! They are innovative and fresh but classy at the same time. I would recommend getting thir Christmas album. You'll be hooked.
I can't wait. Mel's pool party is tonight. BBQ food, swimming and catching up, here I come. :)

Monday, December 12, 2005Today I went to Orchard, Gothe Institute and Dr Sharpley's place to film... It was tiring as expected but still quite fun... Mel and Frez gladly obliged to being filmed and interviewed..Thanks darlings! It was nice to hang out with them again... Afterward, we went to Goethe and filmed some shots of me and the principal then we went to Youth Park to get Mel's interview done... Singapore is really small... I bumped into my German teacher, Katrin there!
I went to Amanda's masterclass at Dr Sharpley's place later that afternoon... It was pretty cool... Amanda was teaching us about lyricism and how it is actually within us and how we can achieve it... I sang "Die Warnung" by Mozart... I love that song! :)
Dr Sharpley is really nice! He's really accomplished but he's really humble... I also met the conductor Darryl Ong there... After the masterclass Abi and I hung out and teased each other... Haha... She's a great kid... :)
I just wanna blog about my thoughts on lyricism... I think that lyricism can only be achieved when an artist falls into their song and performs with their heart... Only when you bare your soul when you perform will you actually be doing justice to your music. It is intense and beautiful. It is lyricism in its full glory. It is universal. There are no boundries, languages or colours dividing it. That is what lyricism means to me. I hope that every time I perform, I can be lyrical, to be able to reach out and touch the audience, to be able to bare my soul. That is definitely the mark of a true performer.

Sunday, December 11, 2005I was in two minds to blog about something yesterday. And now I've decided to blog about it. I really don't know why but I'm just going to.
I'm going to be as vague as possible so be warned.
It just bites. Sometimes I just wished I'd left it alone. But in the end it had to come out. I didn't want it to be known until I was ready. Its part of life and I accept that. Thankfully, nothing has changed. In fact I'd almost say it was for the best because it wasn't that painful. Sad, and a little painful but not very painful. I've learned from this, believe me I have. I wish I could swear off it but that would be wrong. Man was not created in that way. Okay, its out now. I'm still here though and that will never change no matter what. Friend, confidant, me. Always.
1:29 AM
The film crew left about an hour ago. Today wasn't that bad... But I had a searing headache after about 6 hours of filming. I think I need sleep.
Tomorrow I'll be filming yet again but this time with Mel and hopefully Mar if she can make it. The crew wants to take shots of me shopping in Orchard. Isn't this a fabulous excuse to shop? Haha... Hopefully I'll be able to find time to shop and not just film. I need a break. I really do.
1:24 AM
Saturday, December 10, 2005I'm not one to say things like this but I feel that I have a good reason. I feel a little empty. There, I said it.
And its not just because Mar is leaving. There's something else too. I love you Mar. Don't forget me kae? You'll always be my bean... ;) Les Baisers.
As for the other thing, I'm not going to type it out. So don't ask.
15 going on 16. A few more days.
The film crew will be here shortly. It is not a decent an hour to be awake.
4:43 PM
The concert was fantastic! I loved it so much! Ms Ae Ree looked and sounded gorgeous, William was amazing and Shane was brilliant! Mr Chan was fabulous too! The vilonist great as well!
The Spanish numbers were breath taking :) Thanks to Heath and Juit Lian for coming! It was worth it right? ;) It was nice to see the rest of the "Music Circle" there too. :)
I am in two minds to blog about something else. Maybe I will, maybe I won't. I'll see.

Thursday, December 08, 2005Well, the days of hectic but extremely fun rehearsals are now over... The two days of which many performers had been preparing for months are now over... I feel relieved and exhilerated, but sad in a way...
The Child Aid concert was great and I felt fantastic because of the wonderful audience and the support that everyone was giving everyone... Let me first thank Ms Ae Ree and Yan for all their help and support... Love you both! Thanks also to everyone who came: My relatives, cousins and my sweethearts, Mel, Nick, Frez and Miin... :)
It was a great show and we did better than the set target of $300,000... Helping so many people makes me feel really happy and the experience I gained from this is amazing... I also met so any new people and made so many new friends... I feel so good but a little lost in a way... I mean, in such a short period of time, we grew close and then when we all had to say our goodbyes yesterday, we all felt so sad... Of course we swapped contacts and promised to keep in touch but it just felt different... Hopefully, we will all be performing again together in next year's Child Aid Concert... :)
Before I move on, let me just say something to a few of my friends... Abi, you were fantastic, as usual... Loved your performances... You're one of a kind sweetie... :) And Jun Hong, you were great, believe me, you were... Oh! And all the best for your competition next week! First place kae? ;) Nigel, Fiona, you both really nailed it... I know it was stressful but look! Your hard work paid off :) And Yun Chai, good work my dear... Very well done... :)
Okay, I'll post some pictures as soon as I can... By the way, if you are free tonight, come and watch tonight's "Chamber Music Series Concert" at the Explanade Recital Studio... My teacher, Ms Ae Ree, William and Shane are performing... It'll be amazing... Try and come...Take care... I'll post soon... :)

Friday, December 02, 2005Greetings! So I'm here, once again, blogging.
Just thought that I should blog again because,
1. I feel like it.
2. The point of having a blog, is to blog.
3. I want to tell you all about what I did yesterday and today.
Right, so I'll begin by telling you about yesterday. In the morning, I went to Ms Su's house to work... Nat joined us after a while and we worked, all three of us, and got side tracked (as usual) loads of times... Haha... Then, we decided at 6.30p.m. that we shall have dinner together... So, after watching "The Nanny" we trooped down to "Baker's Inn" for dinner.
Let me tell you this folks, "Bakerz In" is fantastic. The food is great. And the desserts, are AMAZING. Natra and I ordered a chocolate souffle and their trademark "Warm Chocolate Cake." They are not for the faint hearted. They are only for die-hard chocoholics. These little babies are gorgeous. They really are.
Right. So today I went to Ms Su's house in the morning for work and then left for piano lessons at Ms Shao's place... I hadn't seen her in three weeks but it felt like eternity! We chatted, chatted and then after chatting some more, got down to work. After which, we chatted some more... Haha... I really missed her... Well, now that my exams are over, I can continue going for my piano lessons weekly... :)
Later in the evening I went for Thomas's "Artyfakt Cantate Series No.3, French and German Music." To those who performed tonight, congratulations! Reuben, you sounded great and Leslie, you were fine! Don't worry kae? Love ya! :)
Before I sign off, let me advertise a bit... Everyone, come watch me at the University Cultural Centre on the 8th of December! The concert is called "The Straits Times Child Aid Pocket Money Fund" or popularly known as the "Child Aid Concert." I was told that the tickets are almost sold out so come and watch it! It'll be a great show and the proceeds of the concert go to a worthy cause... So, get your tickets and help some children today! *Big Smile*
Okay, I'm done now... By the way, David, its not past my bed time! Haha... :) Sweet Dreams you all... :)
