Yesterday was the day of the opera, "Bastien Und Bastienne." There was a feeling of nostalgia as we performed Mozart's very first opera, that he wrote when he was at a tender age of twelve. Thanks to Heath, Juit Lian, Kathy and William for coming! I really appreciate the support. :) The opera went well, with the Lord's grace and I can safely say that our hard work paid off. Yesterday was an experience for me because I felt like I've never felt before. I felt like the character I was playing, Bastienne. In fact, I was so much like Bastienne, that I fell into the song and I was actually about to cry during my first aria! Now I now what Ms Ae Ree means when she tells me to sing with my heart. I feel so thankful for this opera. It was a wonderful time of fellowship and a great experience. I honestly feel blessed by the Lord and his gift of music. It truly feels wonderful to be able to sing, and sing with your heart, unto the Lord.
Oh yes, if anyone spotted me grinning during the opera, it's because of David, although he claims it was my fault. Haha.We both couldn't stop smirking during the opera because of each other. When one started laughing, the other would follow suit. Haha... Ah, we were both to blame. :P Here are some pictures from the opera. :)
My lovely vocal teacher, Ms Ae Ree and I. :)
