Thursday, December 08, 2005Well, the days of hectic but extremely fun rehearsals are now over... The two days of which many performers had been preparing for months are now over... I feel relieved and exhilerated, but sad in a way...
The Child Aid concert was great and I felt fantastic because of the wonderful audience and the support that everyone was giving everyone... Let me first thank Ms Ae Ree and Yan for all their help and support... Love you both! Thanks also to everyone who came: My relatives, cousins and my sweethearts, Mel, Nick, Frez and Miin... :)
It was a great show and we did better than the set target of $300,000... Helping so many people makes me feel really happy and the experience I gained from this is amazing... I also met so any new people and made so many new friends... I feel so good but a little lost in a way... I mean, in such a short period of time, we grew close and then when we all had to say our goodbyes yesterday, we all felt so sad... Of course we swapped contacts and promised to keep in touch but it just felt different... Hopefully, we will all be performing again together in next year's Child Aid Concert... :)
Before I move on, let me just say something to a few of my friends... Abi, you were fantastic, as usual... Loved your performances... You're one of a kind sweetie... :) And Jun Hong, you were great, believe me, you were... Oh! And all the best for your competition next week! First place kae? ;) Nigel, Fiona, you both really nailed it... I know it was stressful but look! Your hard work paid off :) And Yun Chai, good work my dear... Very well done... :)
Okay, I'll post some pictures as soon as I can... By the way, if you are free tonight, come and watch tonight's "Chamber Music Series Concert" at the Explanade Recital Studio... My teacher, Ms Ae Ree, William and Shane are performing... It'll be amazing... Try and come...Take care... I'll post soon... :)
